A Clean Slate

There’s something infinitely comforting about a blank page.
It has always given me a great sense of freedom.

There is no ‘forward linkage’.
There are no shadows.
There is no past.
There is no scar.
There is no bias.

There is space,however.Space that can contain time.
There is emptiness.An emptiness that can be made to seeth with feelings.
There is no colour,yet the possibility of a rainbow.

And that is why I keep coming back.
For the want of a new start.
Even if eventuality awaits.

(Call me a fatalist.Go on.Do it!)

There's nothing that offers more comfort in this world than a blank page and a new diary. The assurance too, that someday you can set it on fire and move on, to take out another fresh white page and start all over again.

It's ironic that when one would rather have a 'black' clean slate, she chooses a myriad of colours to be her template! :)

@PD: The greatest sense of freedom.Truly. :)

@RB:Clean Slate was more of a symbol.Doesn't matter if it is black or multi-coloured.The clean slate is this place,the template : well, call it a poor woman's rainbow. :)
